In your AI assistant
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol can be connected to Xahmoeba. It then reads the living population and works out breeding with the species’ own genetics: exact odds for a pairing, the best partner for what you want, which variants are about to be lost, and how far your moebas are from a mutation. It never holds a key; anything you do, you sign in your own wallet.
Connect it
One address does it. With your account in it, “my moebas” means yours; without it, the assistant asks.
https://mcp.xahmoeba.com/mcp?keeper=r…- On claude.ai or in the desktop app, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Xahmoeba and paste the address above. There is nothing to sign in to.
- In a chat, turn it on from the tools menu. It follows you to Claude on your phone.
Moebas you ask to see appear alive in 3D in the chat, and a pairing as a grid of possible children.
- On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on developer mode.
- Choose Create app, name it Xahmoeba, paste the address above, and pick No authentication.
- In a chat, choose it from the + menu.
Developer mode depends on your plan. An app in ChatGPT’s own directory may follow once the species is on mainnet.
In Cursor, add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"xahmoeba": {
"url": "https://mcp.xahmoeba.com/mcp?keeper=r…"
}
}
}In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http xahmoeba "https://mcp.xahmoeba.com/mcp?keeper=r…"Anything else that takes a streamable HTTP MCP server takes the same address.
What to ask
Ask as you would ask a keeper who knows the rules by heart. Name moebas as the site does, by their taxon and four-letter code, or by the name their keeper gave them. A few to start from:
- Which of my moebas can breed right now, and which was born last?
- Show me my three newest moebas.
- What does Korapoda tetrapunctata 35MZ carry without showing it, and how rare is that?
- What would 35MZ and 7QKD give? Show me some of the children.
- Which partner gives 35MZ the best chance of a child with wings?
- Which pairing among my moebas is most likely to give a name nobody has had yet?
- Which variants are close to disappearing from the species?
- I keep one of the last carriers of pale. Who should it breed with so pale survives?
- Who carries iridescent, and can they still pass it on?
- Which variants can only come from a mutation, and what does each one need?
- How far are my moebas from an albino?
- Rank my moebas as partners for a mutation towards spines.
- Give me an overview: how many moebas, how many keepers, and what is new.
- Explain linkage groups, and why two genes are often inherited together.
- What does a birth cost right now, and how full is the queue?
- Prepare a birth between my 35MZ and 7QKD, and send it to Xaman.
- Open 35MZ to breeding at 2 XAH a birth.
- Give Korapoda tetrapunctata 35MZ the name Pip.
The assistant shows you the summary and the amount first. A Xaman request appears as a QR code to scan, or a button on your phone; you sign or decline it in Xaman.
Good to know
- The numbers are the rules’
- Odds are worked out exactly from the protocol’s genetics, linkage and all, not guessed by the assistant, and checked against tens of thousands of simulated births. Where they leave mutation out, the assistant is told to say so.
- The population is live
- It is read from the same index as this site, a few seconds behind the ledger. A child born a moment ago is listed as on its way until the species’ account has handed it over.
- Your address is not a sign-in
- It is public, and it only says whose moebas “mine” means. Anyone could type it; nobody can act on your moebas without your wallet.
- Nothing is signed for you
- The server holds no key. It can prepare a transaction for your own wallet, or hand it to Xaman, where you see exactly what it does and sign or decline it.
- What reaches us
- The questions the assistant asks the server, not your conversation. What is kept, and for how long, is on the privacy page.
